Dymo LabelWriter Wireless - Changing the Settings
Changing the Settings
Several of the LabelWriter Web Configuration settings can be changed. You can change the password, rename the printer, change the language, or change the session timeout.
Changing the Password
For security reasons, we recommend that you change the password for accessing the LabelWriter Web Configuration utility. You cannot change the user name.
To change the password
- Log in to the Web Configuration utility.
- From the menu, select Password.
- Enter a new password and click Save.
If you forget your password, you will need to reset the printer to factory default settings to use the password that shipped with the printer. See Resetting the Printer to Factory Default Settings.
Renaming the Printer
If you have multiple printers on your network, you may want to rename the printer to something that is more meaningful to your environment. The printer name can be between 4 and 32 alphanumeric characters with no spaces.
To rename the printer
- Log in to the Web Configuration utility.
- From the menu, select Printer name.
- Enter a new name for the printer and click Save.
Changing the Language
The default language for the Web Configuration utility is English. When you change the language, that language will be remembered the next time you log in to the utility.
To change the language
- Log in to the Web Configuration utility.
- From the menu, select More>Language.
- Select the desired language and click Save.
Changing the Session Timeout
A Web Configuration utility session will end after 15 minutes of inactivity and you
will have to log in again. You can change the amount of time before a session
ends but the time should not be less than 10 minutes.
To rename the printer
- Log in to the Web Configuration utility.
- From the menu, select More>Timeout.
- Select and click Save.
