Rhino Software - fatal error: Attempted to read or write protected memory

When attempting to run the Dymo Rhino Connect Software you get the message,

"fatal error: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt"

In this case it is usually a problem with the software, and this will usually fix it:

1. Disconnect the Rhino device.
2. Un-install Rhino connect software.
3. Restart the computer.
4. Install Rhino connect software.
5. Connect the Rhino device and attempt to open the software.
